Cocopeat

Sustainable Cocopeat for Planting & Soil Improvement

Cocopeat, also known as Coconut Peat or Coir Pith, is a by-product obtained from the extraction process of coconut fiber. It appears as a fine, soil-like brown powder that has an excellent capacity for water retention and maintaining soil moisture. Due to its eco-friendly nature, lightweight structure, and high aeration properties, cocopeat has become one of the most popular growing media in modern agriculture especially in hydroponic systems, greenhouses, and nursery plantations.

Key Characteristics:

  • Made from fine coconut husk powder.

  • Exceptional water absorption capacity (up to 8–10 times its own weight).

  • Neutral to slightly acidic pH (5.5–6.8).

  • Lightweight, porous, and provides excellent aeration.

  • 100% biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
